Farmer Jason
The Auburn CityFest Committee is proud to announce a new edition to Auburn CityFest 2010. This year’s entertainment will feature the 2009 Emmy Award
Winner for Best Children’s Program in the Mid-South Region, Jason Ringenberg, also known as Farmer Jason. Farmer Jason wasn’t always a farmer. His
singing and entertaining career began as the front man for Jason and the Scorchers, a fusion of punk and country band that secured his place country
music history. With tour dates all over the map, Ringenberg spent a lot of time away from his two little girls. He did not want his girls growing up
without their dad singing to them, so he created a CD they could enjoy while he was touring. Ringenberg and his family live on a farm in Bon Aqua,
Tenn. so he created a fun family record about farming and farm animals called A Day on the Farm with Farmer Jason. Released purely for fun Jason was
satisfied hearing his daughters singing along, but what started out as a family project soon exploded into worldwide family-fun craze. His lively,
interactive performances with catchy hooks and subtle lesson on ecology have won him praise from USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, New York Magazine,
Parents Choice and many other publications. Farmer Jason’s performance is sure to educate children and also keep them entertained while singing along
to his upbeat, instantly memorable lyrics! For more information about Famer Jason visit www.FarmerJason.com
